Report on the use of donations made to the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund" donation box
10th Anniversary LIVE VIEWING TOUR 2023 -Nissy Meets You-".
Donation box set up at the venue for the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund",
We have delivered the many warm feelings you have sent to us to the site today, December 15.
We consulted with [Disaster NGO Yui], which is still active in the area,
We delivered the following as relief supplies.
Relief supplies
HEATTECH (innerwear)
HEATTECH (tights)
Kotatsu Socks
Many people are in need of items to protect themselves from the cold in the severely cold winter,
We were told that there are few items, especially underwear and footwear, that we could deliver.
Moisturizing cream
Since my skin is dry in winter, I asked if there was a moisturizing cream that I could use on my body.
Assorted sweets
They wanted to hold a Christmas party for their children, so we delivered an assortment of sweets.
I am a NEP member and a fan of Nissy. I heard a happy report that relief supplies are still coming in continuously from the person mentioned.
We are grateful for the circle of support that is growing.
I hope it will spread more and more.
In addition, for the donations received from you,
With this delivery of relief supplies,
The entire amount of 12,065,323 yen was used to support the project.
It is thanks to all of you that we were able to provide assistance to the affected areas this time. I would like to thank you again.
Also, Pizza's kitchen car cooperated with us this time,
Freshly baked hot pizzas were distributed together.
Thank you so much for your cooperation, Pizza.
This time, we visited the Wajima Rural Environment Improvement Center to deliver pizza and relief supplies.
We also delivered the food to a meeting of the Aiko-kai at Shiromai Senmaida.
This year, about 120 of the 1,004 rice paddies in the Senmaida rice field were harvested.
We heard that they are working hard to restore the area for next year's crop.
Very graciously, we received some rice from Noto in return for our supplies, and we are very much looking forward to eating it! If you are interested, we hope you will check back next year at harvest time!
We also visited Motoya Supermarket, the only supermarket in the Machino area.
After the earthquake, everyone worked hard to keep their stores open, but they were temporarily closed due to flood damage caused by torrential rains in September, and they recently reopened for business on November 30.
One year will soon pass since the Noto Peninsula earthquake occurred.
In September, the 2024 Okunoto Torrential Downpour hit the Noto region, and many people in the region are still suffering hard from the two major damages. We heard that temporary housing was also flooded by the torrential rains.
During our conversation with Ms. Yui, she mentioned that she would like to continue to provide a place where people can stop by and talk about their worries, concerns, and dreams for the future at a tea party or rest area where local people can gather to prevent people from becoming isolated.
Even at this point in time, we still have cafes and coffee shops in a sufficient environment.
It is difficult to operate in some areas
Everyone picked coffee and sweets and chatted in the bus stop and other cold-weather environments, and I was able to participate in a small way.
And as we told you when we visited in July,
In order for the city to recover, local revitalization through tourism is also necessary.
Of course, visiting heavily damaged areas is a burden on the local community,
Accommodations are gradually reopening, and the local people are looking forward every day toward recovery.
My staff also wanted to take a hot spring bath! They stayed at "Hotel Route Inn Wajima" and enjoyed the hot spring (I couldn't go because of my work and was left behind). (I couldn't go because of work, so I was left behind.) The hotel was beautiful, the outdoor bath was big, and the temperature of the hot spring was just right for the cold outside.
He also went to an okonomiyaki restaurant right in front of the hotel and said the cheese omelette was delicious.
If anyone is considering a trip during the year-end and New Year's holidays, I hope you will consider it as one of your candidates. I would be happy if you could visit the area and experience the situation firsthand.
In Noto in January, cold yellowtail, nodoguro, anglerfish, and other fish seem to be in season.
And Cape Suzu, at the tip of the Noto Peninsula, is said to be one of the three major power spots in Japan!
When I visit Noto again, I too would like to visit and enjoy various places.
Long-term support is needed for recovery and reconstruction.
I will continue to provide support in various ways.
And we hope that the circle of support will expand.
We hope that those who have suffered damage will be able to spend their days in good health as soon as possible.
We pray from the bottom of our hearts.
